Aberfforest is a beautiful cove nestled on the award-winning Pembrokeshire Coastal Path

This stretch of coastline is a popular breeding and hunting ground for seals and dolphins, which can be seen from the bay.

A stunning waterfall, surrounded by ancient woodland, leads down to the beach which is fabulous for swimming, sailing, kayaking and rock-pooling. Just 150 yards up from the beach are Barnacle and Crab Cottages , a sympathetically and thoughtfully refurbished stone barn.

These characterful and cosy cottages are delightful and are excellent bases for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire.

Crab Cottage is a real gem. It’s in the most peaceful, beautiful surroundings, right next to a stunning little beach. The cottage was so warm and welcoming when we arrived, all the beds are extremely comfortable, with fluffy white towels to use. The kitchen was well-equipped and was fantastic for our Christmas lunch.
I would highly recommend this peaceful getaway, where you can step right out into nature and breath in the freshest air.

This is a very beautiful cottage, set in a very magical location 100 metres from Aberfforest beach. The accommodation was easy to find, easy to access, matched the pictures in the listing and has everything and more that you would need for your stay.There are lots of lovely walks from the cottage to Cwm-yr-Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod, and the Aberfforest waterfall is right next to the cottage. Newport is less than 10 minutes by car and there are lots of restaurants, pubs and cafes, and Newport Sands is ideal for every type of beach activity.

Barnacle Cottage is in a superb position for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire. The cottage is cosy and very well equipped, with good WiFi. Recommended!

It’s a lovely little cottage that has loads of space on the inside and easy parking. Everything has been thought of in there, and the walk to the secluded beach is a great plus. We loved staying at Crab Cottage and intend to be back next year!

We’ve had a wonderful week at the cottage! First holiday as a three with our little daughter – 3 months old. We couldn’t have hoped for a better home-from-home to stay in as new parents. We enjoyed cosy home cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, cosy fires while the baby napped, and stunning walks drenching her little eyes in nature, and a beautiful part of the world to explore. We would return in a heartbeat. Thanks for all the lovely thoughtful touches and tasteful interior.

What a gem of a cottage! This was pure heaven for me, very peaceful, very close to the sea and the hills. The cottage feels like a real home. Well equipped, lovely mugs, plates etc. Nice and warm. We even managed a sit outside between showers! Fab place for an outdoorsy Pembs lover.
