Barnacle Cottage – Aberfforest

Welcome to Aberfforest Cottages

Aberfforest is a beautiful cove nestled on the award-winning Pembrokeshire Coastal Path

This stretch of coastline is a popular breeding and hunting ground for seals and dolphins, which can be seen from the bay.

A stunning waterfall, surrounded by ancient woodland, leads down to the beach which is fabulous for swimming, sailing, kayaking and rock-pooling. Just 150 yards up from the beach are Barnacle and Crab Cottages , a sympathetically and thoughtfully refurbished stone barn.

These characterful and cosy cottages are delightful and are excellent bases for exploring this part of Pembrokeshire.

Truly get away from it all in this fabulous cottage set in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
A cosy, peaceful retreat from where you can enjoy exploring the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast.
Aberfforest is a beautiful bay on this stunning, unspoiled coastline, which forms part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Just a minute’s walk from the cottages, nestled in the woods, is the waterfall, a fabulous place to explore.
With the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, the Preseli Hills and the Gwaun Valley on your doorstep you are never lost for somewhere to explore.

Testimonials

A beautiful very well kept and equipped cottage. Peaceful and lots of character. Only meters from a beautiful beach and the coastal paths. Very highly recommended.

Barnacle Cottage is a really lovely place in a wonderful location. The owners have really taken care to think of everything – its’s well equipped, the instructions are clear and the suggestions for nearby walks and other activities really thoughtful. The setting is perfect – and I loved visiting the nearby beach as well as going further afield. I would go back there myself so I’d definitely recommend it to others.

Thank you Kathy for a wonderful few days.
We brought enough supplies for the whole trip so just hunkered down, swam, walked, skimmed stones, ate and slept
– heaven!

Beautiful Barnacle Cottage had everything we needed! Just not enough time! One week is not enough! Loved exploring the coastal paths. Looked around castles, Iron Age fort, wildlife Trust – same time as Autumn Watch!!! Go-karting, canoe ride, & quad biking. Great fun!!!

Our second visit to Barnacle Cottage and we’ll be back soon we hope.
We had a lovely week eating out in Newport (Blas and the Castle Inn) and also a trip into Cardigan and the Pizza Tipi. Beach was wonderful as ever, the children spent all afternoon in the sea and on the rocks.
